Vitta-Trans LLC provides cargo transportation services by road from France to Russia. According to statistics, in 2011 the main volume of imports from France were vehicles and equipment (54.3%), chemical products (27.2%), agricultural raw materials and food products (10.8%), metal products (3.6%).
Features of transportation
The density of railways in the country is 6.2 km, roads – 146 km per 100 km2. There are restrictions on the territory of the country: transportation of cargo by cars and combined vehicles whose maximum permissible weight exceeds 7.5 tons is prohibited. The exception is transportation by agricultural and specialized transport. The volume of maritime transport from France is 300 million tons per year. France has 89 ports, the largest of which handles 50 million tons of cargo per year. In most cases, maritime transport goes through 4 ports: Rouen, Dunkirk, Le Havre and Marseille.
Van equipment
Refrigerated vehicles used for transporting products must be equipped with thermographs. If the transport route from France passes through snowy areas and roads, the wheels of the vehicles must be equipped with snow chains. Trucks weighing less than 3.5 tons must be fitted with studded tires. With the permission of the Prefecture, an exception may be made for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons in the case of transporting dangerous goods, perishable goods or food products.

- Cargo transportation from France is carried out if the driver has a foreign passport with a Schengen visa, an international driving license, a “De Declaration” carnet (for irregular transportation), a medical insurance policy, and a certificate of civil liability insurance. The package of documents for a vehicle used for transportation from France includes a vehicle inspection certificate, a permit, a vehicle registration certificate, and a set of tachograms. Please note that the transportation of weapons, art and antiquities, and items made of precious metals is subject to mandatory customs control in France. When transporting such goods, it is necessary to prepare the appropriate accompanying documentation.
